An article on the Texas Hill Country website defines this unique region in the heart of Texas by its geographic boundaries and karst geology, and then by elements that compose its spirit, from river tubing to country music, wildflowers and wine. I would add to the description the many hints of German, Polish and Czech heritage evident in many placenames, restaurants and shops. Another description I like: Heaven on Earth.
