Travel Clubs

Even if you aren't a "joiner" many of these clubs have websites with useful links for RVers, whether members or not, so check them out. Almost all offer various discounts, particularly at affiliated campgrounds, but also for products useful for RVing. Many also have educational products or sponsor rallies.

Harvest Hosts

Billed as "RV Camping at Wineries, Breweries, Farms and more" this service has arrangements with over 1000 locations to camp overnight for free throughout the US, Mexico (Baja California) and parts of Canada. Membership is $79 per year for access to their list. Their website has a map with general locations, but details of individual host sites are behind the paywall. Guests are expected to patronize the businesses where they stay.

Boondockers Welcome

Recently acquired by Harvest Hosts, Boondockers Welcome is like a co-op in that members are "hosts" or "guests" (sometimes both). The hosts provide overnight parking space, sometimes with hookups and other amenities, although those are not required. The website provides a way to find hosts and schedule visits. There is an annual fee of $50 to participate, but hosts get "points" to cover their fee costs, and a 50% discount on the annual fee.

Good Sam Club

A very large, established organization affiliated with Camping World, Good Sam offers RV insurance, camping and shopping discounts, and even a credit card.

Passport America

For $44/year, members pay only 50% at 1450+ campgrounds and enjoy other benefits, including a trip routing app, referral program, caravans and rallies, and a magazine, plus other discounts. A lifetime membership is also available for $349, with extra offers.

Travel Resorts

A commercial travel company, which owns 9 resorts from New York to Florida for RV & tent camping and rental cabins, also is affiliated with https://hopawayholiday.com/ Hopaway Holiday] and Coast to Coast (owned by Good Sam Club) for discounts at over 3000 other resorts across the US, Canada & Europe. It offers other travel-related benefits, like discounts on rental cars, etc.

Coast to Coast

Part of the Good Sam group, Coast to Coast has a network of resorts across North America. Membership is obtained by joining one of their resorts, not directly, but allows members to use their benefits at any of their sites, including $10/night RV camping and $15/night at Good Neighbor Parks.

Happy Camper 50% Off Club

Stay at over 1200 affiliated campgrounds for up to 50% discounts. A 1-year membership is $39.99, with discounts for longer terms (2, 3 & 5-year plans). Members also get a collection of eBooks said to be worth $80.

Escapees RV Club

Founded in 1978, Escapees is one of the oldest RV organizations. They emphasize support, education & community, but also of course offer some discounts. The annual fee of $49.95 (US$59.95 in Canada & Mexico) includes membership in Escapees and Xscapers communities.

RV Social Media

RVillage

A very large, very active site with hundreds of special interest groups. Basic membership is free, but "Gold Level" membership ($19.95/year) offers discounts, a "members-only" group, and more as well as helping support the site.

RV Manufacturer Forums

Most, if not all, major RV makers have owner forums, either sponsored by them or independently run. See your manufacturer's website or do a Web search to find one for your rig. These sites often have self-help tips from real-world users, so can provide unbiased advice on a wide range of topics relating to RVs and the RV lifestyle.

Women-only RV Groups

Girl Camper

With regional chapters, a high-quality quarterly magazine, podcast, a FaceBook presence, and more, this is an active group.

RVing Women

A social group whose chapters hold monthly rallies, this women-only organization hosts events, a magazine and active social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
